This is the FIRST out of the four photos I will be using for the front cover of my music magazine. I really like this photo due the flawless look and the heavy eye makeup which I learnt enhance the beauty of her eyes and highlight her pale skin. I was almost convinced to use the same picture without gray scale however my research did not SUPPORT this idea.
This is the second picture I will be using for contents page as it involves the musical instrument so my product does not seem as if it is diverting from the MUSICAL ELEMENT. In addition I made did not allow the models face to be shown as there is already a close up on the front cover and as the model on the front cover is the main issue I would not like the focus to be diverted away from her. However I still feel that without showing the models face the photo is still very attractive and creates a particular atmosphere. I have made sure this is in colour to contrast from the front cover.
This is the third picture I will be using for the double page spread. This will be the main picture on the left hand side taking up most of page to make a statement. This picture will also be in gray scale to LINK with the front cover. I will edit the photo so the elbow will be shown in the whole image as it. I am also going to colour in the white parts of the picture black as the whole background on my double page spread is black. I will also have to make sure I edit out all her spots to give a flawless look to the picture.
This is the FOURTH picture I will be using for the double page spread. This will not be the main picture on the right side of the page with 2 or 3 more pictures in a much smaller sizes than the third photo. The reason for these photos is to act like a timeline to show Katrina and how she started to the moment of that interview. These photos should take up 1/3 of the right page. These pictures will be in colour to bring some life to the page as the background will be black which can make the page look a bit dull without colour or pictures to help brighten it up.
