Research for contents page to school magazine

I really appreciate the artistic display in this contents page as it portays diversity in a sense that not everyone has the same aspects, for example the same nose and mouth. Furthermore the diversity of the face also contains some art which can be associated with school students, aiming to be ambitios regardless of what makes them individual. The layout of the pages is very clear and easy to access, they're not many so the reader is more enclined to view each one.

This is my favourite part of the research as it is the contents page for a school magazine. I feel that the layout is rather plain, however I like it as if I chose to use the layout I can bring it to life and express the differemt aspects to a school, such as sports, arts and intellectual development. This picture also has a border at the top that consists of neutral colours that may continue throughout the magazine.

This contents page is part of my research for the school magazine, however it is not the contents page for a school magazine, but I really like the layout and this may be one of the features I include in my school magazine. This contents page also seperates various features to enable the reader to choose which aspects of the magazine they want to look at.

Titles for my School Magazine

I have chosen the school magazine title called ambition, and here are some of my ideas for the various fonts of the magazine. I prefer the red font out of the rest as the colours portray a sense of ambition.

1st Photoshoot

These photos in my opinion are the best photos I have taken so far, the objects and the model in the picture take up approximately four fifths of the photo, however there is still space for some text eg. title.

The shadow in the background limits the focus however this can be edited, and the use of blue and white books would contribute to the colour of the top. However two of the photos are landscape which is a problem.

On the contrary there is less of a shadow and the student is smiling implying a sense of happiness in what he does. I was not satisfied with the outcome of these magazines so I have chosen to retake my photos.

Research for school magazine cover

This is the last image i feel interpretes the idea of a child being ambitious as the school student is holding the books on her head and smiling to show that he is enjoying her form of education or perhaps enjoying reading. I would like to focus on the child wearing their school uniform to get across the point of ambition/education so the focus is not diverted on the shirt but on the ambitious student.

This is another part of the reasearch I found for my school magazine as my title is now ambition and i feel this picture demonstrates a school child being ambitious, the age of this child is young which may not be what I want to chose but the image of the child holding the books is quite intriguing and i feel it definately displays a sense of ambition.

Research for school magazine cover

This picture is part of the research I found for my school magazine cover. I have been rather inspired to choose a more college magazine style this picture as an example of what I would like my magazine to be like, the student smiling and happy, possibly walking to class or somewhere with their subject books in their hands potraying that they have some sort of ambition.

Research for school magazine cover

This is a college magazine cover based on an individual male student, I will not be focusing on the gender but i will like to focus on the same age range and observe students in college or university achieving something. I will also like to highlight how the media portrays the lifestyles of such students and what interests they have. The title on this magazine cover is very clear and bold, and full of life, possibly to represent how the student is youthful and full of life.
